Dr. Kathleen Brady is Vice Chancellor for External Relations and Partnerships at University of South Carolina Upstate. She is also Executive Director of the Metropolitan Studies Institute at USC Upstate. Her responsibilities include strategic planning for the institution, advancing the University’s impact agenda, and forging relationships with community partners that help advance the University’s impact in the region. Dr. Brady came to USC Upstate in 2008 as Director of the newly constituted external research center – The Metropolitan Studies Institute at USC Upstate (MSI). She built the research agenda for the MSI by delivering high-impact data and research projects, including population health studies, economic impact studies, program evaluation, needs assessments and community indicators projects.
Dr. Brady has extensive experience in the public and non-profit sectors. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Furman University, a master’s degree from Clemson University and a PhD in public health from the University of South Carolina Arnold School of Public Health.
