About

Every woman deserves to control whether or when to start or expand her family, and no one should have to face an unwanted pregnancy. Since 2017, we’ve improved the lives of more than 530,000 women with direct access to contraceptive and reproductive healthcare.

provided services to over 530,000 women in South Carolina

Mission

New Morning’s mission is to transform healthcare in partnership with communities, providers, and patients to ensure that everyone can obtain high-quality sexual and reproductive health services.

Vision

New Morning envisions a world in which all people have the knowledge, access, resources, and freedom needed to make decisions about and obtain sexual and reproductive health care.

 58% decrease in unintended births

New Morning leads one of the largest, most successful contraceptive access programs in the U.S. Our nonprofit clinical network provides family planning counseling and free or low-cost birth control for low-income, uninsured or underinsured women in every corner of the state.

Since the program launched, South Carolina’s unintended pregnancy rate has plummeted from 50% to 37% – the lowest in two decades. Unwanted births declined 58% and intended births increased 28%. Demand for birth control has skyrocketed since mid-2022, but we’ve still been able to serve 1 in 3 SC women. And from January to November 2024, we provided more than $3.1 million in subsidized birth control for South Carolinians, a significant increase over years past.

Our work goes far beyond providing birth control, though; we’re dismantling barriers to healthcare and advocating for reproductive equity.
